Love Nature | Know About Nature From The Depth : Spread Awareness

Know About Nature From The Depth

Most of us have a story to tell of how we discovered our love of nature. From the depths of the forests to the profundity of a good book, from our nation’s iconic wildlife refuges and parks to our backyards, there are countless places our journeys with nature and wildlife can begin.

This past Earth Day, we asked our supporters to share how they developed an affinity for the wild world around us, and we were blown away by the responses. Defenders of all ages and backgrounds sent in stories of childhood memories and wild encounters.

World Environment Day is June 5, and we are proud to share just a few of our favorite stories from Defenders across the country. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we did, and we hope they inspire you to take a closer look at the world around you!

Nature goodness

I work up early the next morning and it was just as I imagined it would be. There is nothing like the stillness of the early morning. There was a gentle, peaceful feeling that enveloped me. It didn’t come from me but seemed to come from the earth and the river and the mountains. Everything was clearer than usual. The mind wasn’t racing here and there the way it normally does. I had never been to this place before but it felt welcoming and familiar. I found a spot to sit quietly. I could hear the faint hum of insects. The air was very still and there was only an occasional gentle breeze. A fly landed on my face. After a moment or two, I carefully lifted my hand and gently ushered him away. Then another fly landed on my face. And another. And another. The feeling I had experienced a few moments ago was gone. I endured thirty minutes or so of mild torture that first morning before I admitted defeat and retreated to the farmhouse.

Each thing-each stone, blossom, child –is held in place. Only we, in our arrogance, push out beyond what we belong to for some empty freedom. If we surrendered to earth’s intelligence. we could rise up rooted, like trees. Instead, we entangle ourselves in knots of our own making and struggle, lonely and confused. So, like children, we begin again to learn from the things, because they are in God’s heart; they have never left him. This is what things teach us: to fall, patiently trusting our heaviness. Even a bird has to do that before he can fly.

So save NATURE as much as you can. Spread the message everywhere. It's our duty to aware more people to fulfill the mission. Because NATURE is like our FATHER who provides us everything to live life comfortably. Do you agree or not?
